Highlights of the week. Welcome back! I hope you all enjoyed the first long break in the school calendar, to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and China’s National Day. Our next break will be the Christmas Holiday.
I am writing you some highlights from the last school week before the holiday, to restart our efforts to inform you about our school life, curriculum, programs and new initiatives.
We have now in place a new set of student leaders, who will carry pout their service ensuring that younger students have role models, helping older students develop leadership potential and providing feedback on some academic aspects.
We also had the MYP Information Day as part of our efforts to inform you about our current curriculum, programs and the new initiatives. I would like to thank parents for their attendance.
We have finally started the professional development of our teachers and members of staff, to support he school goal to provide academic excellence: a successful IB PYP training workshop was organized on September 24th – 25th.
New Student Leadership. At the end of September, the Secondary School staff and students have nominated the new student leaders, who will carry out their service during this school year. These names complete the students previously selected in Primary. We are then proud to announce the Student Leaders for 2015-16:

In addition, at the beginning of this term the Secondary School houses worked together to revamp their house boards. They have produced new amazing designs, demonstrating their effort and commitment. We welcome your feedback at your earliest opportunity.
MYP Information Day. On Wednesday 23rd September we had our first MYP Information Day, to provide an overview of the MYP, the requirements for successful completion of the students’ Personal Project, and how parents can help their children best succeed.
Primary Professional Development. On September 24th - 25th the school has organized a very successful training, an interactive and collaborative 2-day workshop entitled “Making the PYP Happen” facilitated by Mrs. Leda Cedo – an official IB Workshop Leader and PYP Coordinator at Busan International Foreign School in South Korea.
