Korean Chamber of Commerce in Xi’an Donates Korean Books to Hanova. The Korean Chamber of Commerce in Xi’an (Korean Association) recently donated Korean-language books to Hanova International School. This donation is expected to greatly help students gain a deeper understanding of Korean culture and expand their opportunities to learn the Korean language.
Hanova International School values and respects diverse languages and cultures in its multicultural environment, and through this donation, not only Korean students but also students from other countries will have the opportunity to experience the richness of Korean culture and literature.
The donated collection consists of children’s literature, history, science, and Korean language learning materials, totaling over 500 volumes. The school expressed its gratitude to the Korean Association for this support and stated its hope for continued opportunities for collaboration that will contribute to the learning and growth of its students.
Celebrating Hanova’s Outstanding 2025 IBDP & MYP Results. We are delighted to share the updated results (after Enquiry Upon Results, EURs) from the May 2025 IBDP examinations. Our school’s highest score was confirmed as an exceptional 44 points, placing this student among the top-performing IB graduates worldwide. Globally, the May 2025 DP session had 128,401 candidates from 3,242 schools completing their Diploma examination, with 9.3% achieving scores between 40 and 45 points. At Hanova, 23% of our students achieved scores above 40, far exceeding the global average. Furthermore, 45% of our cohort earned scores above 38 points, a testimony to Hanova’s academic rigor.
Additionally, Hanova’s 2025 IBMYP Personal Project scores also reflected strong overall academic performance, with an average grade of 5.22 out of 7. Hanova’s highest grade achieved was in fact 7. Furthermore, 100% of our students successfully passed their Personal Project.
Congratulations students, we’re so proud of you!
PYP Brag Bag Badges. We are thrilled to announce an exciting new way to celebrate our amazing PYP students and the IB Learner Profile here at Hanova!
Starting this semester, PYP students will have the opportunity to earn special ‘Brag Badges’ for demonstrating each of the 10 IB Learner Profile attributes – Inquirers, Thinkers, Communicators, Risk-takers, Knowledgeable, Principled, Caring, Balanced, Open-minded and Reflective.
These colourful badges can be proudly pinned to backpacks as a symbol of each student’s growth and commitment to the values we cherish as an IB school.
And here’s the challenge…
Once a student has collected all ten Learner Profile badges, they will unlock the rare and exclusive Golden Hawk badge, a true mark of excellence and a celebration of living the Learner Profile every day.
Our goal with these awards is to make the Learner Profile even more visible and meaningful in daily school life. By recognising and celebrating these attributes, we hope to inspire every PYP student to not only strive for academic success, but also to grow as compassionate, curious, and principled global citizens.
We can’t wait to see backpacks around campus shining with badges – and our students shining even brighter with the values they represent!
