After the enjoyable Christmas market, our annual Hanova Winter Concert began with lots of excitement and entertaining performances of song, music and laughter. The first students on the stage to start was our favorite performers from Nursery and Reception. Our cutest kids performed the song called “Little Snowflake”. After that, our next act was the story of a reindeer called Rudolph who had a very shiny nose. We welcomed our Years 1 and 2 students for the performance. Another treat from Year 2 in store for us was “I want to be an Elf”.
Years 3 and 4 performed together for a Christmas favourite called “Jingle Jive”. Year 5 joined us on stage to perform “Here comes the Snow!” and Year 6 performed a song with candles called “Shalom”. Then, we handed the concert over to our MYP performers. Ynes from Year 11 sang a song called “Santa Tell Me” by Ariana Grande. Later, Ellie, Jay, Judy, Samantha and Tony performed “Kiki’s Delivery Service” and “Howl’s Moving Castle”!
We also welcomed Nathan and Faith, for a song called Feliz Navidad (Merry Christmas in Spanish). Besides that, we also watched a video performance called “Carol of the Bass” by Ryan and MYP Year 8 performed “The real story of Jack and the Beanstalk”. Our whole PYP also sang a song together and after that, Santa came to our school and our teachers performed a special finale called “Santa’s interview.” A lot of work goes in to making a concert like this happen. On behalf of all our staff and students, we would like to say a BIG thank you to all those who supported us on this journey. We wish you all a happy, happy holiday, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
