Welcome back to school 2024-25!

Dear Parents and friends

Welcome Back to School 2024-25.  Dear Hanova community, welcome to the 2024-25 school year! Whether you’re a returning family or a new family, we’re so glad to usher in the new school year with you all. It’s an exciting time in Hanova’s 12-year history, as we start the school year with over 330 students, our largest August student enrollment ever! With staff, students, and parents representing 31 passport countries, we couldn’t be happier to call us a truly international family.

Last week staff returned to campus for our all staff orientation, an engaging and productive time in which we envisioned positive relationships, improving systems, and expecting great results for the new school year. We delved into strategic planning, action planning, child protection and safeguarding, assessment, and taking some time to reconnect as colleagues. Last week we also invited our new students and parents to a special welcome in which they met teachers and completed a “scavenger hunt” to learn more about our school…they were all great inquirers!

Hanova Vision

We strive to establish Hanova as a long-standing quality educational institution.

Hanova Mission

We aim to be an outstanding IB World School.

All that we do is in the best interest of our students’ future.

We encourage our staff and students to be accountable for their own behavior, and be socially responsible as global citizens.

We strive to make a community of inspiring, wise, principled and active life-long learners.

Fulfilling our Vision and Mission.  On August 1st 2024, the IB published the MYP Personal Project (PP) results for June 2024 candidates. We are thrilled to share with the Hanova community that our students excelled in the MYP PP, achieving an impressive average grade of 6.07 compared to the world-wide average grade of 4.02. All Hanova students received grades from 5 to 7 for their PP score, and nearly half received a grade of 7, the highest grade for the MYP PP. This success is a testament to their dedication and hard work, not to mention our teachers’ efforts to guide our students to these new heights. Along with the continued success of our DP students over the years who have achieved 100% pass rates and average scores above the world-wide average, Hanova is proud to continue its mission to be an outstanding IB world school! Congratulations to all our students!
