Primary News. Environmental issues are extremely important and our Year 5 students are learning about renewable and non-renewable resources and the way they can impact our environment. They are studying hard and they have done a wonderful job explaining this pressing issue of environmental pollution during this week’s PYP assembly.
All PYP students had then the opportunity to learn about land, sea and air pollution and how it is now affecting our planet. The next step for our PYP students, all concerned about our environment, will be to develop solutions and actions that will help us to keep our planet clean.
And at the end of the Assembly, Jade Borisrame (Year 6b) received the official award and prize for her winning entry in the “Little Star Magazine” art competition, with an artwork focused on environmental issues. The competition was open to all of the international schools in China. Congratulations Jade, for this outstanding achievement!
Primary Parent Teacher Conference. PYP teachers invite you to attend a Parent—Teacher Conference on January 30th (from 3pm – 6pm) and January 31st (from 3pm – 5pm), to discuss students’ progress, and set learning goals with your child’s teacher. Please return the reply slip to your child’s teacher to book your appointment.
PYP classes will finish at 2.30pm on these two days: please return the reply slip to your child’s teacher to book your appointment, and for any additional inquiry please contact our Marketing Team.
Library News. We encourage all our students to keep reading and continue to visit our Library when possible. A number of amazing reading pictures are displayed on the library doors to show the enthusiasm in our school.
Please also note that the Primary Read-a-thon will now be during March, not any more in February, with the “Special Book Character Dress Up” Assembly planned on March 30th.
ECA Block Two. Last reminder that in Primary, ECAs for Block two will begin on Wednesday February 28th. In Secondary, the new activities for ECAs Block two will start this January 31st.
Thanks again for your continuing support.
