Year 12 End-of-Year Exam. The year 12 students have just completed their first official examination – the Year 12 End-of-Year Exam. It was a two-weeks-long examination, that every day the Year 12 students were sitting in different subject examinations. It was a chance to examine the learning outcome in the past year, and most importantly, is for teachers to give them feedback from the examination results. With this feedback, they will be able to make academic plans for the upcoming summer holiday and the next semester coming in just a few months.
Year 11 Bridging Programme. In the last two weeks of this academic year, Hanova held the Y11 Bridging Programme. On Monday, 7th June, we have welcomed the Year 11s to officially join our IB Diploma Programme here at Hanova. It is a two-week curriculum programme which not only contains DP courses, but also some information sessions, homeroom lessons, university counseling lessons, parent meetings, Alumni Talk sessions, Kognity sessions, etc. The aim of the Bridging Programme is to help the Year 11 students transition to the Diploma Programme smoothly, and to help them to know how to use their time this summer to prepare for their DP life which starts in August.
Alumni Talk. During the Year 11 Bridging Programme, it was our great honor to invite three Hanova alumni from the classes of 2017 and 2018 to meet the newest Diploma students. From the panel discussion, the alumni have shared their insights, experience and tips from their perspectives about the IB Diploma Program and some fun facts when they were studying here at Hanova. Here, we’d like to sincerely thank these excellent young adults for their willingness to guide our present DP students:
- Emily Chan, Class of 2018 (University College London)
- Kevin Qu, Class of 2018 (University of Edinburgh)
- Harry Zhang, Class of 2017 (University of California, Los Angeles)
Best Regards,
