Saturday, 16th October saw the Hanova Heroes kick off their PYP football season in great fashion with a visit to XLIS.

The U8 team played a very close game with our hosts edging an end-to-end game with a 7-5 victory thanks to a goal from Bruce and a double hat-trick (6 goals) from Constantine. Our U12 team pulled out an excellent performance in a 7-1 victory with a hat-trick from James and 2 goals each from Taeyul and Abraham.

There was a quick turnaround with both teams then heading to XIS on Monday 18th October. There was excitement amongst the players on the bus ride to the old campus, where they were greeted by the old Hanova security guard (a really nice moment). On the field our U8 were victorious and were very respectful of a team made up of smaller children. The U12 squad continued their impressive start to the season with a 3-3 draw XIS Gold with 2 goals from Abraham and a strike from James, and an 8-0 victory against XIS Grey with a hat-trick from Taeyul, 2 goals each for James and Abraham with Andrew also notching his first goal of the season.

The support on both days from Hanova parents was exceptional and is something that our coaching team of Mr. Dusan, Mr. Charlie, Mr. Sam and Mr. Robinson really appreciate. Due to the current status, the U12 team are awaiting their double-header with DeHong, where 2 wins would see them become Champions!

Practices are continuing with Mr Sam and Mr Charlie as part of the Hanova Football Academy.
