Students in Year 7 spent a week making Probability Board Games. Their objective was to make a board game with their classmates that was suitable for playing for 6-8 minutes. If a board game they created was less than 2 minutes, then it should be able to be replayed. The students’ board games needed to include math questions – with printed and easy-to-read instructions. In addition, they needed to test their own game before playing together.
Through a week of creating board games, Year 7 students spent 2 periods to play together. Finally, all of the groups sat together to vote which one was the best board game. Their final board game creations were impressive and interesting.
