For this unit of inquiry, Year 5 has been making connections with the systems in the human body. Students have been engaged with making diagrams and taking notes much like we would find in a science textbook. The students have been great communicators with their visual learning strategies this year. What makes this unit different, is our students have taken some excellent risks and have built their own models of these systems that we find in the body. While showing an open-mind and balancing our work and play, the Year 5 students have surpassed expectations with what they have been able to make, and reflect on how those systems work in our bodies everyday. It has been an amazing things to be part of.
