Hanova students celebrate Chinese New Year 2017

By Francesco Masetti-Placci

Dear Parents and friends,

At the end of next week we will break again to celebrate Chinese New Year and the Spring Festival, the most important holiday in China. Hereafter, I write you some news for this past week.

Communications About New Teachers. You all received a letter with the information about our new teachers, who have already joined us or will join in February. We are very glad that our students will benefit from their knowledge, and you are all welcome to meet them at the earliest opportunities.

DP Mock Exams. Our first cohort of DP students, currently in Year 13, has completed the Diploma mock exams. We all acknowledge their effort, and also the full support given by Secondary teachers to ensure appropriate preparation and logistics. Congratulations to all, before the final steps during the next months.

Students Reports. The First Semester students’ official reports, originally due this week, will be ready by the 26th morning, our last day of school before the Chinese New Year holiday, for both Primary and Secondary students.

Chinese New Year Celebrations. Primary classes celebrated Chinese New Year on 20th January with in-class festivities according to the class and Year Group programs, with a variety of activities including cooking and crafting. Secondary students will celebrate the event on 26th January, with some house activities.
